Brighton Regional Doctors is a private billing practice. Consultation fees are payable in full at the time of consultation by EFTPOS, credit card or cash. Any applicable Medicare rebate can be deposited into your savings or cheque account at the same time.
A list of common consultation fees is displayed in the reception area and waiting room. A full of fees is available on request.
Treatment room and additional procedures or services may have an additional gap payment to your appointment cost depending on individual requirements.
We actively participate in “Close the Gap” for our patients who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or with First Nations heritage. Please talk to our reception team about we can assist you with your health needs and reduce your health costs.
We offer no gap care to our Gold Card DVA veterans.

OUR FEE STRUCTURE
Our practice operates under a mixed billing model. This means there may be a
private fee to pay on the day of your appointment. We will continue to bulk bill patients aged 12 years and under who have a valid Medicare card. Patients aged 75 years and over will also continue to be bulk billed, provided they have completed their annual 75+ Health Assessment at our practice and it remains up to date.

Non-attendance to booked appointment
To help us offer appointments to everyone who needs them, we kindly ask that you
let us know at least 2 hours in advance if you can’t make it. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient who may be waiting to be seen. If we do not receive the adequate notice and you miss your appointment, a non-attendance fee will apply and must be paid before your next appointment can be booked. The non-attendance fee starts from $50.00, based on a standard 15-minute appointment. Higher fees may apply for longer appointments or procedures.
