We’re excited to offer MyMedicare, a voluntary and free patient registration service. When you register with MyMedicare and select Brighton Regional Doctors as your preferred “home clinic,” you unlock enhanced Medicare benefits designed to simplify access and improve continuity of care.
What is MyMedicare?
MyMedicare is a new government initiative that allows you to formally register your preferred GP practice, your “home clinic.” Once registered, you’ll enjoy additional Medicare benefits while continuing to enjoy flexible care at multiple locations.
How to Register
Eligibility:
Registration is available to anyone with a Medicare card or DVA Veteran card who has had at least two face-to-face visits with the clinic in the past 24 months.
Registering Online:

Log in to your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile app.

Search for “Brighton Regional Doctors” in the list of registered clinics.

Select us as your preferred practice. Our friendly staff will receive and accept your registration.
Registering In-Clinic:
Prefer personal assistance? Just ask at reception for a MyMedicare registration form. After you sign, our team will complete the process for you.
Pro Tip: If you can’t find our practice when registering online, don’t worry, we may still be finalising our MyMedicare setup. Please check back later.

Is Registration Mandatory?
No. MyMedicare is completely voluntary and free. You’re welcome to continue visiting Brighton Regional Doctors, or any other clinic, without registering. However, without registration, you won’t qualify for the enhanced Medicare telehealth rebates and other future benefits.

Important Notes & FAQs

Can I register more than one clinic?
No, MyMedicare allows only one registration at a time to strengthen your connection with a single home clinic. -
What about children?
Registration is optional for all patients. If you’d like your children to benefit, each one must be registered with their own preferred clinic and GP.-
Children under 14 must be registered in person by a parent or guardian using a consent form.

Young people aged 14–17 can register and consent independently.

Am I locked in forever?
Not at all. You can still visit other providers, but extra benefits only apply at your registered home clinic. You can also withdraw or change your registration anytime via your Medicare account or by contacting the clinic.
